The opportunity
TCR France is looking for a Operations Manager to lead our operational performance across the country.
As the Operations Manager for TCR France, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, safety culture, and customer satisfaction across multiple sites throughout France. This key leadership position plays a strategic role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality maintenance and support services in the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) sector.
This role requires a leader who remains close to the operation. You are expected to spend regular time on sites, in workshops, and with operational teams.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
Operational leadership
Lead the day-to-day operations of several technical workshops across France, ensuring best-in-class service delivery, safety, and profitability.
Ensure the effective coordination of operational teams and standardisation of processes to improve reliability and uptime of GSE assets.
Define and implement key operational KPIs and report on performance against targets.
Spend significant time on site supporting teams, solving operational issues, and improving performance.
Customer excellence
Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with key accounts (airlines, airports or handler level), acting as the main operational liaison.
Anticipate customer needs and deliver on service-level agreements, ensuring client satisfaction and high retention.
Solve escalated operational challenges with a focus on proactive communication and reliable support.
Fleet maintenance and compliance
Oversee maintenance strategies and technical fleet performance, guaranteeing adherence to preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with OHSE standards across all operational sites.
Foster a safety-first culture by actively promoting and leading safety awareness programmes.
Team leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a network of operational managers and technicians.
Promote a culture of empowerment, ownership, and continuous learning.
Support change management initiatives and guide the organisation
Strategic and financial contributions
Collaborate with senior leadership on business planning, budgeting, and long-term resource management.
Drive cost-efficiency and identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within operations.
Contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance service delivery, sustainability, and operational scalability.
We are looking for an individual who
Has a strong background in operational management, ideally within a technical, industrial, logistics or aviation – related environment.
Brings proven experience managing large teams and complex operational environments
Leads with charisma and authenticity, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Is confident and assertive when engaging with senior, demanding stakeholders, able to challenge constructively and influence at all levels
Understands customer needs, listens actively, and builds long-term partnerships rather than focusing on new business development
Has strong commercial awareness and knows how to balance service quality, cost-efficiency, and operational performance
Demonstrates solid understanding of OHSE/OH&S standards and consistently drives safety excellence
Is fluent in English; other languages are a plus
