HGV Technician
Skilled Vehicle Technician required to maintain and repair fleet and customer vehicles to high standards, ensuring safety, quality compliance and reliable service delivery in a fast-paced workshop.
HGV Technician
Job Purpose
To carry out repairs and maintenance on TCR and customer vehicles to a high standard, in line with company Health and Safety policies and ISO quality frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Repair and maintain vehicles and plant as directed by the Workshop Supervisor
Carry out inspections, diagnostics, brake and smoke tests
Accurately complete job cards and inspection reports using the tablet system
Identify and report required work, parts, defects and vehicle off-road (VOR) issues
Ensure correct handling, labelling and storage of parts and tooling
Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures

Work safely at all times and report accidents, near misses and hazards
Use PPE and safety equipment correctly
Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements

Strong mechanical or motor vehicle knowledge
Good communication, numeracy and diagnostic skills

Experience
Vehicle or plant maintenance environment
Customer-focused operational role
Logistics or fleet background (desirable)
Qualifications
LGV Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Mechanics
City & Guilds or BTEC National Certificate
Forklift licence (desirable)
