Fleet Maintenance Manager
The opportunity
A Fleet Maintenance Manager whose responsibilities are to ensure proper maintenance of equipment, ensure consistency of service across all branches to improve equipment quality and customer satisfaction. The Maintenance Manager acts as the senior technical authority for maintenance standards across all locations, supporting the Operations Director in driving reliability, safety, and cost efficiency. They also will be responsible for providing technical leadership and governance to ensure fleet availability and long-term asset performance.
A snapshot of what you will be doing here:
Lead and support the Road Service Manager and field mechanics, providing technical guidance and performance oversight.
Ensure preventative maintenance, inspections, and compliance standards are met and documented across all locations.
Manage subcontractor strategy and performance, including spend audits and vendor optimization.
Track and report warranty recoveries and missed opportunities.
Oversee telematics implementation, reporting, and alert response.
Conduct annual fleet audits, quarterly subco reviews, and asset condition assessments.
Approve and review all repairs over $5,000 for technical and financial alignment.
Support new asset acceptance, lifecycle planning, and replacement strategies.
Coordinate vendor and mechanic training programs.
Champion safety and regulatory compliance across all maintenance operations.
Additional Responsibilities
Investigate accidents and complete required reports.
Address substandard subcontractor work and support internal audits.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Travel up to 50% as required.
Who we are looking for someone who:
3-5 years of successful business management experience.
Strong mechanical and diagnostic expertise with root cause analysis skills.
Effective leadership, communication, and customer service abilities.
Data-driven mindset with experience using KPIs and cost reports.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems.
Collaborative, organized, and safety-focused.
