The opportunity

At TCR, we keep our operations running through strong, reliable IT infrastructure. We’re looking for a hands-on System Support Engineer to manage and improve our core IT environment from our HQ near Brussels.

This role is ideal for an engineer who wants to move into role with real ownership. You’ll work close to the business, take responsibility for critical systems, and play a key role in keeping our infrastructure stable, secure, and efficient.

We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in on-premises infrastructure and networking, who is open to gradually growing into cloud technologies over time.

What you’ll do

• Manage and support our cloud-native Azure services, including Entra ID, Azure DNS, Azure Load Balancers, and more
  

• Manage and support our server infrastructure running on Azure IaaS, including Active Directory Domain Services (with AD-integrated DNS and DHCP), file servers, and our hybrid Exchange environment synced with Exchange Online
  

• Administer and support our Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Power BI
  

• Safeguard the availability, performance, and security of our cloud environment, systems, and networks
  

• Own incidents end-to-end, from initial troubleshooting through to root cause analysis and resolution
  

• Maintain and optimise both our on-premises physical networks (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls) and our cloud virtual networks in Azure (VNets, NSGs, peering, gateways)
  

• Contribute to practical automation using PowerShell, Azure Logic Apps, and Power Automate
  

• Contribute to infrastructure improvements, standardisation, and documentation
  

• Act as a technical point of reference for infrastructure topics within the team
  

• Operate within a tiered support model, resolving Level 2 issues independently and escalating complex cases to Level 3, while collaborating closely with internal HQ IT teams and regional IT Business Partners

• Stable and reliable infrastructure with minimal recurring incidents

• Steady growth towards full cloud capabilities

You bring

• Around 4–6 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or IT operations

• Strong hands-on knowledge of:

  • Windows Server environments

  • Active Directory and authentication (including Entra ID)

  • DNS and core infrastructure services

• Experience operating and supporting hybrid infrastructure (on-premises systems integrated with cloud services)

• Fundamental network engineering knowledge, with some hands-on experience administering network environments (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)

• Familiarity with Infrastructure Security and Identity & Access Management

• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure incidents, with a structured approach to root cause analysis

• A practical, hands-on mindset with a focus on ownership

• Experience in an ITIL / ITSM driven environment

• PowerShell scripting skills, or willingness to learn

• Fluent English

Nice to have

• Experience with Citrix Workspace / Virtual Apps & Desktops

• Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)

• Exposure to AKS / containers, CI/CD, Azure security, FinOps, observability
