We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who will take a leading role in shaping and safeguarding the quality of our data and technology platforms. You will be responsible for guiding and developing the testing approach across multiple products, improving release reliability, and strengthening our distributed delivery model between Belgium and Malaysia.

You will report to the Delivery Manager and collaborate closely with delivery leads and business analysts in a distributed model. This role suits someone with strong technical insight, a structured mindset, and the ability to collaborate confidently with cross functional teams. The position offers the opportunity to influence how quality is defined and achieved across our organisation.

Typical day

On a typical day, you might review test outcomes from the team, priorities defects with development leads, refine test plans for an upcoming release, and mentor a junior QA analyst on automation approaches.

Quality leadership

• Define and refine the overall testing approach for active platforms and new product developments

• Establish comprehensive test plans, test suites and documentation that support predictable release cycles

• Act as a point of reference for testing standards and practices within the team and across related functions

Advanced testing and defect management

• Conduct functional, regression and performance testing with a strong focus on early defect identification

• Actively challenge requirements and solution designs during pre-development reviews to ensure testability, identify gaps, and reduce downstream rework

• Provide clear and structured defect reports with guidance that supports efficient fixing and future prevention

Automation and performance testing

• Design and maintain automated test suites, ideally within a CI CD environment

• Support and mentor team members on automation best practices

• Apply performance and load testing methodologies using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar

Quality reporting and communication

• Present quality indicators and test outcomes to delivery leads and product stakeholders

• Highlight risks, quality gaps and dependencies in a constructive and forward looking way

• Support leadership in understanding trends and opportunities for improvement in quality processes

Process improvement and collaboration

• Contribute to the development of improved testing processes, tooling and documentation

• Work closely with engineering and product teams in Belgium and Malaysia to support a seamless distributed workflow

• Participate actively in user acceptance testing and provide guidance to analysts and business users

• Take ownership of continuous improvements in how testing contributes to product stability and customer satisfaction

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of professional QA experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in a senior or lead testing role, with strong foundations in manual and regression testing

• Holds a degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field

• Understands testing methodologies at a senior level and is able to challenge and refine the way testing is performed

• Has experience designing and maintaining automated test suites, with the ability to mentor others on automation approaches

• Is familiar with performance and load testing methodologies and tools

• Is proficient with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps and has experience working in structured, enterprise level environments

• Communicates clearly and confidently and adapts style to different technical and non-technical audiences

• Shows maturity in prioritising issues, managing context and dealing with ambiguity

• Is comfortable collaborating in a distributed team with shared responsibility across time zones
