The opportunity
The Stock Keeper is responsible for supporting workshop operations by receiving, storing, organizing, issuing, and tracking parts, materials, tires, consumables, and related inventory. This role works closely with the Purchaser, Service Manager, Workshop Manager, Supervisors, and Parts Team to ensure parts are available, accurately recorded, and efficiently moved within the store, workshop, and other ports as needed. The Stockkeeper helps maintain inventory accuracy, supports preventive and corrective maintenance activities through parts kitting and work order posting, and ensures no parts leave the store without proper documentation. This position plays a key role in helping the Workshop deliver timely, safe, and high-quality service and repairs of GSE equipment to customers.
What success looks like
Safety: Consistently follows all safety procedures, uses approved equipment only when trained and authorized, reports hazards, incidents, near misses, and equipment concerns promptly, and contributes to a safe workshop and store environment.
Inventory Accuracy: Maintains accurate stock levels, bin locations, barcode labeling, and system records, with discrepancies identified and escalated quickly for correction.
Receiving and Issuing Quality: Completes receiving, quality and quantity checks, goods receipting, parts issuing, and transfer documentation accurately and in accordance with local and company processes.
Workshop Support: Ensures PM and CM parts kits are prepared accurately and on time so technicians and supervisors can complete service and repair work without unnecessary delays.
Compliance and Administration: Follows required SAP, FSM, paperwork, and local process requirements so all parts transactions are traceable, complete, and properly assigned to the correct job, transfer, or inventory record.

Receive incoming parts, materials, tires, consumables, and goods by verifying quantity, quality, condition, and supporting documentation before system receipt and storage.
Accurately complete goods receipting, inventory transactions, transfers, work order postings, and related documentation in SAP, FSM, and other required systems or forms.
Pick, pack, stage, and dispatch parts transfers to and from other ports or locations, ensuring shipments are accurate, properly labeled, and completed on time.
Build preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance parts kits and post parts accurately to the appropriate work orders.
Operate forklifts and other approved equipment, when properly trained and authorized, to safely load and unload delivery trucks and move materials within designated areas.
Manage the parts store front by issuing ad-hoc parts to authorized supervisors or team members and ensuring all parts leaving the store are properly posted to a job or approved transaction.
Support the tire inventory process, including receiving, storing, issuing, tracking, and returning tires in accordance with local procedures.
Assist with cycle counts, stocktakes, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities to maintain accurate stock records and support operational planning.
Maintain accurate bin locations and ensure all parts are properly labeled with barcode stickers or other required identification.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized parts store and work area, identifying opportunities to improve organization, storage, workflow, and housekeeping standards.
Promptly report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, missing parts, safety concerns, or process issues to the Parts Supervisor, Workshop Manager, or appropriate leader.
Assist supervisors, management, and the parts team with day-to-day operational tasks as needed to support workshop efficiency and customer service delivery.
Who we are looking for someone who has:
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory, receiving, and transaction records.
Basic understanding of parts, materials, consumables, warehouse/store operations, and inventory control practices.
Ability to use SAP, FSM, barcode systems, inventory tools, or similar systems to complete required transactions and documentation.
Ability to safely operate forklifts or material-handling equipment when trained, certified, and authorized.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily tasks, support urgent workshop needs, and maintain a clean and efficient store layout.
Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, technicians, purchasers, service leaders, and other operational team members.
Ability to identify stock discrepancies, process issues, damaged goods, and safety concerns and escalate them in a timely manner.

The pay range for this position is $22-27 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
