UK & Ireland (Multi-Entity Responsibility)
The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Management Accountant to join our UK & Ireland Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a key role responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and balance sheet control across multiple legal entities within the business.
Working closely with operational leaders, senior stakeholders, and the wider finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting business performance, maintaining strong financial governance, and driving continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting. You will also be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring a small finance team, using your previous people management and leadership experience to drive high performance, accountability, and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including financial performance reporting, variance analysis, and insightful commentary for senior management.
Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting activities to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies, delegated authority limits, and Group reporting requirements.
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring outstanding items are identified, challenged, and resolved promptly.
Manage weekly cash flow forecasting and working capital reporting to support business liquidity and financial performance.
Review and approve payroll and supplier payment runs in accordance with company policies and financial controls.
Coordinate year-end audit activities and maintain effective relationships with external auditors.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including VAT returns, ONS reporting, and other external submissions.
Produce meaningful financial analysis, business cases, and decision support information for operational and commercial stakeholders.
Support budget holders through month-end reporting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, controls, reporting, and processes.
Work closely with operational management teams to identify risks, opportunities, and profitability improvement initiatives.
Lead, coach, and develop two part-qualified finance team members, supporting their professional growth and technical development.
What We Are Looking For
Skills & Experience
Strong management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
Proven experience of balance sheet management, financial controls, and cash flow forecasting.
Experience business partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, Power Query, and financial modelling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading and developing finance team members.
Experience working within a multi-site, operational, or service-led business environment.
Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Experience managing multiple legal entities would be advantageous.
Previous exposure to QuickBooks, Keyloop, or Basware would be beneficial.
Experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting activities.
Qualifications
ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified (essential)
Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience within a fast-paced operational environment.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (40 hours per week)
Hybrid working available.
Occasional travel to other UK & Ireland locations may be required.
