Telematics Technical Support
Drive our connected fleet forward! Join TCR as Telematics Technical Support to lead installations, solve technical issues, and power global telematics innovation
Telematics Technical Coordinator
The opportunity
We are hiring a Telematics Technical coordinator to join our operations team and support our global fleet of airport vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
This role is about installing, standardising, and maintaining telematics and tracking systems that connect our vehicles and machines. You will make sure each installation is correct, the data signals are reliable, and any problems are solved quickly.
You’ll work closely with mechanics, engineers, project managers, equipment suppliers, and data specialists. Your work will help us grow our “Connected Fleet” strategy; ensuring every vehicle delivers accurate, real-time data that improves efficiency and safety.
A snapshot of what you will be doing here:
Installations and technical support
- Check and troubleshoot telematics installations in vehicles and equipmen
- Support local workshops with wiring, weak signals, or connection problems
- Monitor installation quality during fleet rollouts
- Assist with pilot projects involving new suppliers and rental partners
Working with suppliers and OEMs
- Collaborate with vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure systems are compatible
- Help develop installation kits, wiring standards, and connector instruction
- Act as the technical contact for telematics providers and vendors
Documentation & training
- Write clear, step-by-step installation and wiring guides
- Train technicians and project teams (remotely and on-site)
- Share knowledge so local teams can carry out installations independently
Data & Signal quality
- Validate new use cases like charging alerts, battery health monitoring, and temperature tracking
- Work with data and analytics teams to ensure accurate reporting and dashboard
We're looking for someone who:
- Background in electronics, vehicle systems, telematics, or engineering
- Able to read and understand wiring diagrams for 12V/24V systems
- Knowledge of CAN bus vehicle data systems is a plus
- Hands-on and curious; eager to solve technical problems in the field or remotely
- Strong communicator with both technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable using Excel, reporting tools, and digital platforms
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus
We encourage you to apply if you see a strong match with the core responsibilities; even if you don’t meet every requirement. Research shows people from underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet all criteria. At TCR, we view job profiles as a guide, not a checklist. We’re looking for relevance, not perfection.
Why this role matters:
As our fleet becomes increasingly connected, telematics and IoT data are critical for smart decision-making. Without accurate data, maintenance, performance tracking, and efficiency suffer. This role ensures signal reliability, system scalability, and data integrity, directly helping us manage thousands of vehicles worldwide.
We think you will love working with us:
At TCR Group, we foster a vibrant and collaborative work culture that values each team member’s contributions and reflects our company values: integrity, open-mindedness, accountability, and passion. You’ll have the opportunity to drive change and contribute to our mission of sustainability in aviation. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

About TCR
We keep airports moving. Literally.
At TCR, we’re not the ones flying the planes, but without us, they don’t leave the ground.
We make sure that the equipment used on airport ramps, like pushbacks, belt loaders, aircraft tractors and baggage carts—is always ready to perform. We rent it, maintain it, fix it, optimise it, and even give it a second life. This equipment is called Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and we are world leaders in it.
We work behind the scenes at more than 200 airports in 20 countries, partnering with airlines, airports and ground handlers. We help them operate safely, efficiently and on time. Our technicians, engineers, project managers and support teams make that happen.
Our work isn’t just technical, it’s environmental too. We repair and reuse thousands of machines, reducing waste and cutting emissions. We rethink how fleets should be managed, and we’re leading the way in electric GSE.
Want to work in aviation without being in the air? Want to be part of a global company with a human scale? You’ve just found your ticket.
