The Opportunity

Our Cairns operation is a team of two and we’re now looking for our third team member. We’re open to candidates from all backgrounds (Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanics) and at any stage of their career. If you’re willing to learn, we’re happy to train and support your development. Apply regardless of your experience level.

A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

You’ll get hands-on across a wide variety of equipment and tasks.
Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment.
Work closely with the Service Manager and support an apprentice onsite.
Carry out servicing, preventive maintenance and repairs to trade standard, ensuring accurate data recording.

Who we're looking for:

Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification.
Have your own tools.
Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.
Hold a current and valid Driver's License.
A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures.
Experience working within procedural guidelines.
Good communication skills and proactiveness.
A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.
