The Opportunity
TCR Group is a global leader in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) solutions that keep airports running smoothly worldwide. With over 1,800 employees across 200+ airports, we provide mission-critical rental, leasing, and maintenance services that airlines and handlers rely on every day.
As an Assistant Manager, you will support workshop operations, coordinate work orders and projects, ensure compliance with PMs and SLAs, assist with staff development and liaise with customers to deliver efficient and high-quality service.
A snapshot of what you will be doing here:
Assist with signing off work orders, quoting, parts ordering, and job scheduling to ensure smooth workflow.
Support onboarding and training for apprentices, supervisors, and technical staff, including GSE and airport-specific training.
Maintain workshop tooling registers, conduct tooling audits, and manage repairs or replacements.
Collaborate with supervisors on fault diagnosis, safety inspections, and quality assurance for large jobs.
Assisting with staff performance reviews and mentoring staff
Coordinate large-scale projects and liaise with customers to meet timelines and expectations.
Drive PM compliance, SLA adherence, and timely resolution of work orders alongside supervisors.
Attend customer meetings and manage timely responses to customer communications.
Who we're looking for:
Strong organisational and leadership skills to support workshop operations and staff development.
Experience in tooling management, safety compliance, and quality control processes.
Excellent communication and customer engagement abilities.
A proactive approach with the ability to multitask and adapt to operational demands.
Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
