The Opportunity

We are looking for a Regional Technician to be based in Perth and support our network of airports across Western Australia and the Northern Territory. This role offers a unique combination of technical work, autonomy, and travel, supporting a diverse range of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) across regional airport locations.
This is a hands-on role suited to a highly motivated Automotive Mechanic LV/HV/Plant who enjoys travel, autonomy and working across different airport environments.
A snapshot of what you will be doing here:
Travel regularly across approximately 35 regional airport locations throughout WA and NT.
Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment.
Report daily to the Regional Supervisor while operating under the broader leadership and direction of the State Operations Manager.
Conduct preventive servicing, data collection as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard.
Promote a safety-first approach.
Utilise the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity for you to bring a wide collection of knowledge and skills to the role.
Respond to breakdowns and urgent customer requirements when required.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders across regional airport locations.
Utilise company vehicles, tools and equipment to complete field-based maintenance activities efficiently and safely.
Support scheduled maintenance programs as coordinated by the Regional Supervisor.
Travel requirements
This role involves regular travel throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
This role offers a predominantly Monday to Friday schedule, combined with the variety and autonomy of regional travel. Occasional weekend travel may be required.
Perth is your home base.
Travel is scheduled and coordinated by the Regional Supervisor.
Most trips involve being away from home for 2–3 days at a time, with some locations requiring day trips and others requiring week-long visits.
Who we're looking for:
Willingness to travel extensively throughout WA and NT.
Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification
Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.
Hold a current and valid Driver's License.
A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures.
Experience working within procedural guidelines.
Good communication skills and proactiveness.
A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.
