The opportunity

As a Fabricator, you’ll carry out fabrication, fitting and repairs on specialised GSE equipment while ensuring all work meets high safety and quality standards.

A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

• Conduct fabrication and assembly, installation and fitting, quality control and maintenance and repairs.
• Follow service guidelines, commit to safety through Zero Harm principles and promote a safety-first approach.
• Utilize the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity for you to bring a wide collection of knowledge, skills and experience to the role.
• Report daily to the Shift Supervisor.
• Collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions.
• Work with multiple unique GSE specialised equipment.

Who we're looking for:

To be successful in this role, you will have most of the following skills and experience:

• Relevant Trade Qualification in Welding/Fabrication.
• Previous experience with aluminum welding to AS/NZS 1665.
• Basic mechanical/repair aptitude advantageous.
• Hold a current and valid Driver's License.
• A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures.
• Experience working within procedural guidelines.
• A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.
